Our solution to the iPod power conundrum!

We have the right cable to allow your original or new iPod to connect to a Windows notebook computer and get power at the same time! The 4 pin FireWire receptacle on most Windows notebooks does not transmit power. If you use your iPod with one it will drain the batteries and not let you recharge. With this cable you can get both data and power connection to your iPod.

The new iPod ships with a FireWire 6 to 4 pin adaptor which lets you connect it to Windows notebooks. The problem for the iPod is that it can't get power with that way.

Our cable comes with a standard DC jack which can add power to your cable. Use it indoors or on the go. With our cable you can get power for you iPod from many sources, including cars, airplanes and AC wall adaptors. You'll get power and be able to connect to your notebook at the same time!

With the addition of the 6 pin to DC plug cable, (sold separately), our cable allows you to deliver power to the iPod while it is connected to a Windows notebook computer.

Although there are many ways you can get power for the cable, the most convenient way is using the AC adapter included in the iPod package and a 6pin to power plug cable to plug into the cable to provide power to your iPod.

Note: Check your device's power requirements before connecting power to it. The iPod needs 12 V DC.
