Hi-Speed USB 2.0 over Cat5 Cable
The USB 2.0 RANGER 2101 is freshly designed USB 2.0 extender that can be used for any USB application, including high speed USB 2.0 applications. It provides all the functionality of standard a standard USB cable but in a very long distance, all in a ready-to-use package. The USB 2.0 RANGER 2101 provides support for both High Speed USB 2.0 and Low Speed USB 1.1 applications. Feel free to add your own USB hub at the either end to increase the number of ports.
Extreme USB Technology... Icron's USB RANGER products are composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). The LEX unit has a built-in USB A cable which connects to the host computer and REX unit that has a standard USB A female connector to connect your device. Cat 5e cabling is used to connect the LEX and REX units over a distance of up to 100 meters (330ft). The USB 2.0 RANGER 2101 can be powered at the remote unit with the included power adapter, but is only required when using units that require full USB bus power (500Ma).
