Wireless USB 2.0 Extender The USB RANGER 140 is a commercial grade product designed for USB 2.0 wireless connection. The WiRanger provides support for both High Speed USB 2.0 and Low Speed USB 1.1 applications.

Further Explanation... The WiRanger is composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host computer and to connect the remote USB device to the REX unit. Open air is used to connect the two together, up to 30 meters (approx. 100ft). Since USB has a very tight protocol, close to "line of sight" is recommended when connecting these units.

Compatible with standard devices The new USB 2.0 WiRanger wireless extender represents a significant milestone, supporting USB 2.0 peripheral devices at speeds up to 54Mbps (802.11g) over a distance of 30 meters (approx 100 ft.).
